Short Description: UPDELED (also called UP D.El.Ed / BTC) is the state-level admission process for the 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (formerly Basic Training Certificate – BTC) course in Uttar Pradesh. This course prepares candidates for elementary school teaching.
Admissions are based on merit and a multiple-phase online counselling and seat allotment process conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Examination Regulatory Authority (Prayagraj).
The official notification for admissions and counselling timeline is released for the academic year 2025-26, and the major counselling events spill into early 2026

First, ensure you applied for UP D.El.Ed Admission and your details are correct
Merit list/State rank will be published on the official portal; only candidates in the merit list can take part in counselling.
Click on Candidate Registration.
Enter required details (like application number, name, mobile, email).
Set a password and complete the basic registration form.
Go to Pay/Update Registration Fee section.
Pay the counselling registration fee (usually online via card/net-banking).
After payment, save/download the e-receipt
1. Submit Personal Details again if asked.
2. Upload/verify important documents (like photo, signature, qualification certificates).
- 10th marksheet & certificate
- 12th marksheet & certificate
- Graduation certificate/marksheets
- Residence certificate (for UP candidates)
- Caste/EWS certificate (if applying under reservation)
- Go to Choice Filling / Selection of Institutes.
- Choose as many colleges as you want (better chances if you fill more choices).
- Lock your choices before the last date.
- After choice filling:
  - The portal will show your allotted college based on rank & preference.
  - Download the Seat Allotment Letter / Allotment Slip.
  - Visit the allotted institute with original documents.
  - Complete document verification and fee payment at that institute.
  - Take a printout of the admission/verification slip for future reference
